Wolverettes Take Top Seed, Co-Championship With Win Over DeQueen (cont)

While the Wolverettes were busy putting points on the board, the Lady Hornets were still trying to solve the riddle of the Prescott defense. They didn't do it.

The officials allowed Blevins to be more aggressive and physical, calling more touch fouls against Prescott, but nothing helped the Lady Hornets.

At the 5:06 mark of the period, Prescott led 45-28. The Wolverettes ended the quarter with a 16-0 run to take a 71-28 lead into the final eight minutes.

Cossey rubbed a bit of salt into the wound as she nailed a three pointer at the buzzer.

Coach Cossey emptied the bench in the fourth frame, making sure the starters didn't get hurt, while allowing everyone on the team to get into the game.

As he continued rotating bodies into the game, Blevins was able to make the score a bit more respectable than it really was.
