Juanita Ann Pharr

Juanita Ann Pharr, 56, of Winnfield, La., formerly of Prescott, died Thursday, February 12, 1998, in Rapides Medical Center in Alexandria.

Mrs. Pharr was born December 3, 1942, in Prescott to Elmore and Myrtle Dougan. Mrs. Pharr lived in Winnfield for the last 20 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Irene Wood Sunday school class, United Methodist Women, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the local Cancer Support Group in Winnfield, which she also was responsible for starting the Support Group. She was also retired from the state of Louisiana Education System.

Survivors include her husband, William Pharr of Winnfield, one daughter Rhonda Howell of Houston, Texas,; one son, Kevin Pharr of Winnfield, one granddaughter, Lindlay Howell of Houston, Texas,; one brother, Billy Dougan of Sulphur Springs, Texas,; two sisters, Ginny Prather of Smackover and Belinda McKinnon of Prescott; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Curtis and Bobbie Pharr of Magnolia; five nieces, seven great nieces; three nephews; and four great-nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, February 14, at the First United Methodist Church in Winnfield., with the Rev. Steve Caraway and Rev. Barry Hockstra officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
