Mattie Wesson

Mattie Wesson, 80, of Prescott died Monday, February 9, 1998, in Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.

Mrs. Wesson was born April 10, 1917, in Prescott to Hollie and Bertie Munn Almond. She was a housewife and mother, and a member of West Heights Baptist Church in Little Rock. She accepted Christ as her Savior at age 16 and lived faithfully for the Lord for the rest of her life.

Survivors include her husband, Bro. Louie Wesson of Little Rock, formerly of Prescott; one daughter, Barbara J. Tidwell, and her husband, David of Little Rock; two sisters, Geneva Barham of Prescott and Pearl Racanello of Arlington, Texas; two grandchildren, Benny Tidwell of Little Rock and Rejeana Albert of Little Rock; five great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Wed-nesday, February 11, at Laneburg Baptist Church with Revs. Arlis East, Wayne Langston and Cameron Albert officiating. Burial was in Laneburg Cemetery under the arrangements of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
