Lucy Doris PattersonPublished Wednesday, February 25, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesLucy Doris Patterson, 95, of Gurdon, died Monday, February 23, 1998, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. Mrs. Patterson was born August 13, 1902, in Smithon, the daughter of the late Robert O. and Alsie Henderson Patterson. She was a farmer, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the DAR and the Clark County Historical Society. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, James, and Wright Patterson; five sisters, Cornelia Ruth, Hattie Patterson, Bertha Loe, Ruth Patterson and Margaret Baumgardner. Survivors include one brother, Donald Ian Patterson of Gurdon and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, February 25, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Bro. Maurice Burroughs officiating. Burial will be in Dobyville Cemetery under the direction of Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
