Paul David Payne

Paul David Payne, 56, of Gurdon died Friday, February 13, 1998, in the Baptist Medical Center at Arkadelphia.

Mr. Payne was born November 1, 1941, in Okolona, the son of the late Nashville Payne. He was an employee of International Paper Company, and a member of Eastern Star Baptist Church at Smithton.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Payne; two sons, Ronald Payne of Laurel, Md., and Christopher Nelson of Arkadelphia; a daughter, Samantha Larry of Gurdon; his mother, Mary Ross Payne of Okolona; five brothers, Lee Rogers Payne of Okolona, Charles Payne of Flint, Mich., Billy Joe Payne, and Johnnie Payne of Palalto, Calif., and Bobby Perry of Idaho; and one grandson.

Funeral services were Saturday, February 21, at Eastern Star Baptist Church with Rev. Marshall Allen officiating. Burial was in Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
