Who was your grandmother's mother? was the roll call answered by 15 members and one visitor at the Red Springs Extension Homemakers Club meeting February 12 at 10 a.m.

Ginger Overturf and Denice Ezell were fortunate to enjoy their great grandmothers when they were children.

The program, 'Genealogy: Finding Your Roots,' was given by Jean Toland.

She listed seven steps to a family tree: 1) Organizing home and family sources; 2) contacting relatives; 3) write for death records; 4) follow up death records; 5) federal census search; 6) library search (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints operates the Family History Library); and 7) state and county search includes the Clark County Library, courthouse, Ouachita Bap-tist University, Henderson State University and Clark County Historical Association.

Hostess Helen Toland gave the devotional, 'Old Age Prayer' and the 'Poem Silver Haired Rose.' Mary McBride led the group in singing, 'Arkansas,' 'It is No Secret' and 'Ain't She Sweet' being dedicated to Dorothy Nilz.

Phyllis Hughes, a special visitor, was present.

Jo Baldwin, Joyce Rutherford, Mattie Talley, Tootsie Dempsey and Denise Ezell joined in the county tour to Jefferson, Texas. The rain did not dampen their day visiting antiques shops, lunch in a cozy caf, and best of all stocking up with sweets from the Blackburn outlet store.

Elizabeth Wilson will teach counted cross stitch at the county craft class February 24. The public is invited to attend. Kits will cost $3.

The Diamond Valley Chapter of the Red Cross will hold a free disaster and CPR session for club members and spouses. The date will be announced later.

The door prize was won by Mabel Toland. The meeting adjourned with Betty Cook reading the Extension Homemakers Creed and she also gave the blessing for the food.

Tootsie Dempsey will host the March 12 meeting. A workshop on constructing Easter Rabbits will be held in the afternoon.
