Hope everyone has been enjoying the few beautiful days that we have had lately. We certainly have enjoyed them at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center.

The center has been rather busy this past week. We had a trivia contest on February 16, a speaker from Central Electric Cooperative on the 19th and State Sen. Mike Ross, on the 20th.

The monthly council meeting was Tuesday, February 24, and this will also be the birthday celebration for those with birthdays in February. Gertrude Cooper, Bernice Freeman, Eva Perry, Thelma Jackson, Art Cooper, Peggy Arnold, Ellis Fretwell, Clarence Haltom, James Martella, S.T. Mason, Emma Herron, Fay Tucker, Mildred Ferguson, Beatrice Newsom, Esther Thrasher, Gloria Bennet. Lula McNeely, James Burns, and I, Doris Vance, are the honorees.

Memorial have been presented to the center in honor of Eunice Huffman, Howard Ferguson, J.W. Harris, Charlyne Bryan and Dr. Roger Dickerson. A trip to Mid- America Museum is planned for February 27.

We wish to thank activity director Rebecca Cooper for plan-ning all the activities for the center.

We wish again to extend an invitation to those 60 or over to come and visit us. There are activities for everyone.

The Cover Girls are quilting another quilt. They have already finished one. We are enjoying good food and fellowship.

The center is a United Way Agency.
