Ken and Celia Karmel are happy grandparents again.

Keven Karmel's wife, Kena, of Dallas gave birth Friday to twin boys. All are doing well, including Keven.

Dennis Hicks, Margie Reed and Celia Karmel went to Dallas Friday for the event. Granddad Ken missed the excitement. He flew to San Francisco earlier to play racquet ball. He is now fourth in his age group in the racquet ball nationals and a new grandpa.

J.W., Maxine, Lucy Glass and Dorothy Apel met with the Glass families and friends at Western Sizzlin in Hope Saturday night. Eighteen people were present for this monthly get together.

Jennie Marie Godwin as we know her passed away last week. She was buried at Caney Monday. At the time of death she was a resident of Prescott Health and Rehab.

Wanda Lunsford has flu symptoms and was unable to be in church Sunday.

Janis Callicott was also on the ailing list.

J.W. and Maxine's children were all in church at Morris Sunday for the baptism of Deb Jackson's family. Their family, children and grandchildren sang a special song.

Roger and Liz Nunn and their granddaughter, Malary, of Hope, Barb Morton, Jackie, Cathy and Abbie Glass of Magnolia, Shuntelle Bennett of Hope, and Karen and Sarah Jobe and friend of Prescott, Steve, Deb, Cody Jackson and Dee Jarvis, Ricky Helmic, Kenny, Pat, Tim and Leah McCullough, Kevin, Pam Clancy and Hannah Cleveland, and Tracy Bennet, all ate lunch with J.W. and Maxine after church Sunday. Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Members of Morris Baptist Church visited Hillcrest Care Center for church service Sunday afternoon.

See you next and I remember there's no place like home, except grandma's.
