Happy Birthday to Hettie Picot of Florida. She will be 92 Thursday. Hettie was raised in our community. We are glad you enjoy our news, Hettie.

Lyndal (Shartz) Garner had balloon heart surgery Thursday in Little Rock. All of his brothers, Huey, Jerry and Mike Garner, were with him. He hopes to come home Monday.

The wild geese and ground hogs are mixed up on our weather. According to the ground hog, we were to have six more weeks of winter left. Our son, Willie Hugh, saw wild geese going north Thursday.

My sister-in-law, Doris Ridgell, visited us Friday and brought us a delicious supper. We also enjoyed Bill Joe Warthall's visit Saturday.

We are sorry to hear of the death of Rufus Thompson of California. Rufus was raised in our community, but will be buried in California. His brother, Leroy, wife and his sister, Norvelle Thompson, of Texarkana visited J.D. and Mary Ann Lucas Saturday.

Mae Blount spent the weekend with her sister, Ruth Perkins, of Gurdon. Kathline Hooks spent the weekend with her mother, Catherine.

Donnie Surles of Rogen, Colo., visited her mother, Mae Blount, Sunday night.

Boughton Church members called Bro. Danny Miller as their pastor Sunday.

Lenord and Faye House and Jan Presley visited Chloe Orren during the week.

Lela House remains critical in St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. Some of her family is with her day and night.

Robin and Elizabeth Andrew, Alex and Ashley had dinner Sunday with Herbie Ridgell. Robin and Elizabeth also visited Doris Ridgell.

Dodie Harris, Meme Dickinson and Shelby Williams have recently brought KFC chicken and had dinner with their grandmother, Doris Ridgell.

Annie Mae Hooks visited Lillian Tackett Sunday afternoon. Lillian isn't doing well physically.
