Winifred Fowler

Winifred Fowler, 80, of New Boston, Texas, formerly of Prescott, died Wednesday, February 18, 1998, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas.

Mrs. Fowler was born May 9, 1917, in Lake Charles, La., to Winfield S. and Elizabeth Greene Streater. She was a housewife, mother, an elder of First Pres-byterian Church and a Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John I. Fowler, who died in 1970.

Survivors include two sons, Winfield S. Fowler and wife Vickie of Atlanta, Ga., and Jack Frank Fowler of Newport, R.I.; two daughters, Mary Beth Propsma and husband Harold of New Boston, Texas and Mary Margaret Tocquigny and husband Mike of Sanger, Texas; and five grand-children, Lilly Propsmaware, Gerrit Propsma, Kelsey Fowler, Evan Fowler and Jimmy Tocquigny.

Funeral services were Friday, February 20, at First Presbyterian Church in Prescott with Rev. Janet Ruark officiating. Burial was in Mimosa Pines Memorial Gardens in Sulfur, La., under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
