Virginia H. Duke

Virginia H. Duke, 83, of Prescott, died Tuesday, February 17, 1998, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.

Mrs. Duke was born August 12, 1914, in Mena to E.M. and Hallie Averitt Sharp. She was a retired school teacher in Prescott, a member of First United Methodist Church in Prescott, a graduate of Louisiana State University, Phi Chi Omega Sorority, president of United Methodist Women, and member of PEO Sisterhood. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.H. Duke, and one sister, Elizabeth Hays.

Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Ann Lamb of Little Rock, and three grandchildren, Carrie, Anna and Elena Lamb all of Little Rock.

Funeral services were Thursday, February 19, at First United Methodist Church in Prescott with Revs. Jerry Westmoreland and Jim Lenderman officating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
