Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991. Narcotics Anonymous now meets in Gurdon at the Presbyterian Church on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. For more information, call 353-6612. Moms-In Touch prayer group for schools meets at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays at First Baptist Church. Call 887-6376 for additional information. A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be at the Nevada County Courthouse in the Social Security Room on February 26 and March 26. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible, call 1-800-772-1213. Southwest Arkansas Development Council is again taking applications for the Home Energy Assistance Crisis Intervention Program. Applications will be taken Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30 till 11:30. You must bring your shut-off notice and proof of household income for the month prior to application. For more information, call 887-5171. An account has been established at the Bank of Delight for Laura and J.J. Cox to help with their medical expenses. If you would like to make a donation, you may do so at the bank in Delight or at Nevada County Branch Bank of Delight in Prescott. Any donation will be appreciated very much. The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce will manage a monthly calendar of community events. The deadline to place an event on the calendar is the 20th of the previous month. For the March calendar you need your information to the Chamber of Commerce by the February 20. This is free to the public. The calendars may be picked up at the chamber office at 116 East Second South, Nevada County Branch Bank of Delight and the Bank of Prescott, or you may call 887-2101. The Emmet school board will have its regular monthly meeting Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in room four at the school. The agenda includes elementary and secondary principals' reports, superintendent's report and per-sonnel matters. The Nevada County Conservation District has product brochures available on trees, shrubs and groundcovers. It also has brochures on mushrooms and fern packages. If interested in picking up a brochure come by the office Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The office is located at 204 E. Second and Pine, or you may call 887-3210. The class of 1978 is planning its 20-year reunion. The group is trying to get addresses and information regarding anyone in that class. If you were in this class or know someone in this class contact Tommy Glass, Gary McCauley, Phyllis Nelson Haynes, Mona Haynes Phillips, Rita Halbrook Reyenga or Pam Morrow. There will be a singing at Morris Baptist Church Thursday night, February 26, at 7:00. The Hope Quilter's Guild will hold its monthly business meeting Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in the Citizens National Bank conference room in Hope. Show and tell will follow the meeting. The Emmet PTA is sponsoring a Pancake breakfast and baked goods auction Saturday, March 7, in the school cafetorium. Breakfast will be served from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m., with the auction starting at 9 a.m. Price will be $3 per plate or $1.50 for age six and under. Fifty people attended a prayer breakfast at Pleasant Grove MBC in Willisville Saturday, February 21. It was sponsored by the deacons and deaconesses. The speakers were Sis. Ardell Johnson and Sis.
