Ruth Baker and Lille Mae Phillips went to Dallas, Texas, on Friday to help their sister, Ruby Mullins, celebrate her birthday. Richard and Susie Miller of Idabel, Okla., and Richard, Sherry, Josh and Heather Lane of Greenwood visited Maudie Miller and they all attended the wedding of Richard's son, Brett Miller. Jerry Dillard retired. He has a travel trailer. He and his wife, Phyllis, have been gone about two weeks. He wants to travel, but after a couple of weeks he likes to come home for a few days. Butch and Pat Wilbank of Little Rock spent the day with parents, J.D. and Marie Allen. Russ Carlton went with a group from Hope to Ouachita Baptist University. He sang to about 700 people. He likes to sing. They said he did a good job. Way to go, Russ. Deck and Earlene Butler entertained a group of 'Young at Heart' on Friday night. There were eating, singing and games. We meet once a month and have lots of fun. Hazel Dorman is in the hospital. Hope she will soon be home. Raci Poindexter was in church with grandparents, Jewell and Mary. Paula and Rocky Cummings had their grand baby, Rusti, and also her parents, Douglas and Amanda. Shannon and little Walker Flowers were in church.
