Mrs. Willie Hooks

We have had another loss. Lela House passed away last Monday. She was buried Wednesday at Piney Grove Cemetery. Lela married my cousin, so I have known her for a long time. To know her was to love her.

Huey Garner had bypass heart surgery Tuesday, but is home doing well now.

Kelsey Wren spent Saturday night with her great grandmother, Doris Ridgell.

Paul and Robin Ridgell and Kay Wren attended the Murrah Dinner Playhouse in Little Rock Saturday night. They had dinner and saw the play 'Father of the Bride.'

We enjoy having Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas, Bro. Danny Miller and Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas visit us this week.

Everett and Mary Orren spent several days with their daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Lyle Brooks, and grandsons, Craig and Aaron, of Macon, Ga.

The jonquils, early shrubs and plum bushes in bloom are beautiful. Hope we don't have a freeze.

I went to church on Sunday. That was the first time I have been since November 23. I enjoyed it so much and enjoyed hearing our new pastor, Bro. Mike Taylor, preach.

Boughton Church was well attended Sunday. They had fellowship dinner and singing in the afternoon.

Darlene Young spent Saturday night with her parents, Pete and Cathryn Jester. Breanna Young spent Saturday night with her cousin, Courtney, and Theresa Jackson.
