Double 'C' EHCPublished Wednesday, March 4, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayunePresident Ann Loe called the Double 'C' Extension Homemakers Club to order February 18 at 6:30. Lucy Glass read the Club Collect. Ruby Wicker read the minutes, which were approved. It was decided that the club will have a white elephant sale at the next meeting. Members are asked to bring all their treasures they want to get rid of and a purse full of change and see what treasures each may carry home. Lots of fun. The program was then turned over to the hostesses, Margaret Barham, Lucy Glass and Mary Reaves. Margaret introduced Clay Wingfield of Wingfield Nursery of Prescott to the members. He told those present how to landscape their yards and how to plant flowers. He also enlightened the members how to watch for insects that get on the plants and what to use to get rid of them. Wingfield Nursery has almost any kind of plants anyone would be interested in. Wingfield can also answer questions about your plants. Double 'C' really appreciates Clay coming to the club and sharing his knowledge on plants and landscaping. The hostesses then served nine members and Clay, as well as one special little person who loves to come and eat. We had some members who were not at the meeting. They have been sick. All the members hope and pray they will soon be well and back at the meetings. Vada Mathis and Bonnie Barham is on the mend and doing some better. The members visited a while and then adjourned.
