State EDO Changes Industry Focus (cont)BY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, March 4, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune are interested in working together to keep downtown thriving. In fact, they made a list at the meeting of things they will be working on. Russ said another area of focus for the Partnership is keeping youth in the area. The idea is to educate young people to the possibilities available to them at home. A student works with the Partnership 75 hours during a semester, helping to develop a youth task force. The task force, he said, will include training on forums, and economic development, issues important to young people and leadership seminars. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
