Greetings from the Gurdon Senior Adult Center. Hope everyone has enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and the flowers that are in bloom.

The last event for February was a trip to Mid-America Museum in Hot Springs Friday, February 27, that the senior adults enjoyed.

Our activity director, Rebecca Cooper, has many events planned for the month of March. Saturday, March 7, a trip is planned to the Jonquil Festival at Old Washington. Be watching the column for information about Big Wheels Deliver Meals and also a senior prom. There will be more information about the Sittin' Easy Club.

Put on your calendar the fund- raising dances at the Arkadelphia Center. Arkadelphia hosts a dance two Saturday nights a month and the Gurdon Center two nights a month. We wish to thank the Arkadelphia Center for sharing their building with the Gurdon Center.

We welcome our visitors to the center and those who have recently become new members.

Chair aerobics and standing aerobics are still being enjoyed by the seniors each Tuesday.

We have been enjoying good meals and wonderful fellowship and making new friends. The Cover Girls are quilting, bingo and dominoes are being played. There is something for everybody to enjoy.

Naomi Brown is back after taking a few days off. We are glad she is back. Charlotte Shepherd, our director, has been at the center this last week. Naomi, Charlotte and Martha Bearden have been working hard to finish the last of the month's work.

Our love and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones and also those who are ill.

If you would like some place where you can forget your troubles for a while, come visit us at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center. You might find that the Gurdon Center is a wonderful place to be.

The center is a United Way Agency.

Taylor Morehead, Beau McKenzie, Miles McKenzie and Ashley McKenzie caught this 30- pound catfish Saturday, February 7, while fishing on White Oak Lake. Miles says, "It is extremely difficult to catch a fish this large. It is even harder to get it home when your daughter is saying 'Daddy, please don't put it in the boat.'"
