Hand Bell Choir In Festival

The First United Methodist adult handbell choir participated in the Arkansas State Handbell Festival on Saturday, February 28, at Robinson Convention Center in Little Rock.

Thirty-five handbell choirs from around the state spent the day rehearsing numbers for the afternoon concert.

The Gurdon group then enjoyed a dinner at Bennigan's.

Choir members include Kay Downey, Joyce Taylor, Wendy Simpson, Judy Sanders, Sally Tarpley, Jennifer Gates, Edna Jordan, Eric Hittenrauch, Patricia Childers, Judy Hittenrauch, Elizabeth Wilson and Jerry Childers, director.

The adult handbell choir will perform for the morning worship service at First Methodist Church on March 22.
