BY JOHN MILLER
Published Wednesday, March 11, 1998 in the Gurdon Times

Bids for city equipment to be sold were opened. Only one was accepted. Jimmy Martin bid $385 for a one-ton truck, which was approved.

Bids for lawn equipment from the cemetery department were not properly submitted. The bids had to be made on bid forms, and the bid for the lawn equipment was made on standard notebook paper and could not be accepted.

The council will rebid the remaining equipment with the bids to be opened at the April meeting.
