We had some cold weather last week. Wild geese are going north so maybe winter is over.

Willie and I enjoyed Larry and Lauren Inscore's visit with us Monday night. They brought us a nice basket of candies.

Everett and Mary Orren visited his Uncle Durward and his wife, Elaine Orren, of Waveland, Miss., Wednesday and Wednesday night. In route home they visited L.V. and Barbara Narvis of West Monroe, La. L.V. remains very ill.

Gertrude Brown is home after spending several days in the hospital. Annie Mae Hooks visited her Sunday afternoon.

Visitors of Doris Ridgell Satur-day and Saturday night other than her children were Meme Dickerson and William, Gail and Cavin Cook and Evan and Mary Perkins of Pasadena, Texas. Mary remained for a longer visit with Doris and her sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Vernon Steven.

Bro. Danny Miller visited Katie Pittman and Sue Austin Friday.

Lillian Tackett remains very ill in a Little Rock hospital.

Bro. Jerry Smith visited Chloe Orren one day last week.

Doug and Carol Johnson of North Little Rock spent one night last week with his mother, Mildred Johnson.

Allen Elmore, Nell and Zane of Winnsboro, Texas, had supper with his grandmother, Elsie Elmore Sat-urday night.

Walter, Sondra, Jason and Gary Almand visited Mae Blount last week.

Doyle Everett Hooks and Joe Taylor of Fort Worth, Texas, Hershel Hooks, Tommy Hooks and Kathline Hooks came to see their mother, Catherine Hooks, over the weekend and to visit with each other. Catherine is bedfast with Alzheimer's.


FLAG DONATED The Benjamin Culp Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented an American flag to Nevada County Judge James Roy Brown, recently. The flag was presented by Betty Turner, chapter flag chairperson. Also on hand for the donation were Julie Stockton, Carroll Morehead and Turner's grandson, Matthew Turner, 4.
