College NewsPublished Wednesday, March 18, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneFollowing the fall semester at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, 359 students were named to the dean's list. To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must be registered in 12 or more semester hours and attain a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Students from Prescott who were named to the dean's list were Deanna Ellis, Russell Glass, Sonnet Kopecky, Shaun McKamie, Michael Meador, Tonda Pennington, Tiffany Rash and Jim Stockton. Those from Rosston making the list were Kimberly Mason, Tina Walker and Valerie Young. Brent Waters and Laurie Herring from Willisville also made the list. Ashley DeWoody of Prescott has made the president's honor list at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. To be named tot he list, a student must have a grade point average of 3.8 on a minimum of nine semester hours pursued, with no grade lower that a B.
