Helen Petty RunyanPublished Wednesday, March 18, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesMrs. Helen Petty Runyan, 78, of Arkadelphia died Friday, March 13, 1998 in Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Runyan was born August 12, 1919, the daughter of Charlie and Fannie Trigg Petty. When she was active she was a member of the Unity Garden Club and a member of the Unity Baptist Church, where she taught the teenage girls' Sunday school class. Survivors include her husband, Jessie J. Runyan; three sons, Jessie C. Runyan of Gurdon, Randy Runyan of Benton and Eddie Runyan of Arkadelphia; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 17, at Unity Baptist Church with burial in Unity Cemetery by Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
