Tiger Club Meeting Scheduled April 17Published Wednesday, March 25, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesThe Former Students Association at Ouachita Baptist University will host its annual Gold Tiger Club meeting on Friday, April 17, at the Arkadelphia campus The club gathers annually to honor the 50th year reunion of that year's graduating class. This year, the Ouachita graduating class of 1948 will be feted, along with members of all other earlier Gold Tiger Club year classes. Registration will take place at 10 a.m. in the lobby of Evans Student Center. During the registration time, returning graduates will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Andrew Westmoreland, president of Ouachita, at an informal reception. At 11 a.m., students and faculty members from the division of music of the Bernice Young Jones School of Fine Arts will present a "Ouachita Showcase" for the Gold Tiger members in the McBeth Recital Hall of Mabee Fine Arts Center. A Gold Tiger luncheon is set for 12 noon in the Evans Student Center banquet room, followed by class reunions, campus tours and open houses at 1:30 p.m. It is expected that the event will be attended by 150 to 200 people.
