Easter is just around the corner. It is impossible to preach or teach the Christian faith and leave out the cross of Christ. Not only is there the ministry of the redeeming power of the cross, not only did Jesus have a cross to bear, but each of his followers have a cross to bear.

April 17 and 18 is district conference and it will be held at Whites Chapel AME Church on Highway 4. Rev. E. Jenkins is the pastor.

Freddie and wife Margaret Dixon visited George and me Sunday. Paul Dixon and wife Gracie visited us also. Paul lives in Texarkana, Texas. Freddie lives in Mineral Springs. These are our nieces and nephews.

The fourth Sunday in April is second quarter conference, which will be held at Bethel AME Church in Rosston. Rev. Lessly Banks is the pastor. Rev. Thomas Adair is the presiding elder.

The young singers is sponsoring a musical Saturday night at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Rosston. Come and join us Tidwell, Bazzelle, Evans and Gulley families in Oak Grove community in Rosston in a family reunion celebration July 3, 4 and 5.
