Peggy Butler from Rosenberg, Texas, was home visiting her Dad, Alvin Butler, over the weekend.

We had fellowship at church on Sunday. We had a lot of good food. We usually have a visiting preacher on the fifth Sunday. This time it was Mark Falkner, who preached a good message, then we ate.

We also had a get together on Friday night with Rocky and Paula Cummings. So you can tell we like to eat.

Friends and loved ones paid their respect to Thomas Silvey on Tuesday of last week. He was an educator and promoter of betterment of a community. He will be missed.

I talked to Ted Claus on Saturday in San Antonio, Texas. They were fine. A daughter, Laurie, and her family were to move to Dallas, but they haven't made it yet.

Ruby Mullins from Dallas visited her sister, Ruth Baker, one night.

Phyllis Butler didn't make it home this week. She is having back problems. She is some better, I think.

Harvell and Nell Butler visited Deck and Earlene Butler. They had supper with them and played dominoes.

I heard some talking of gar-dening. Their potatoes were up, as well as some peas. Someone else said their radishes were up. So listen and you can hear all kinds of reports. I don't have a garden. A little rocky for that.

Boughton

Mrs. Willie Hooks

Don't forget the clean up day for Piney Grove Cemetery Saturday, April 4.

Ashley, Josh and Andrew Ridgell spent Monday night with their Papaw Herbie Ridgell.

I would like to correct a mistake in my last week's news. Faye House visited her nephew, Billy Joe Hoover, not Billy Joe Hooks.

We enjoyed having Bro. Jerry Byers, Marion, Amanda and Emily, Ray and Syble Brown and Julie Beardsley visit us during the week.

Bobby and Breanna Young spent a few days with their cousins, Theresa and Courtney Jackson.

Huey Garner and Everett and Mary Orren visited Chloe Orren during the week.

Mildred Johnson is still in Columbia Medical Park hospital. Some of the children and grandchildren are giving her trailer a face lift by painting it. They are also visiting her at the hospital. She had surgery on her knee last Monday.

Willie and I visited Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas a while Monday afternoon.

Brian Davis, Brandon Hill, Binnie, Melissa, Rachael, Heather and Elizabeth Blount spent a few days of their spring break with their Grandmother Mae Blount.

Donald and Patricia Ingersoll, Nadine Brown and Elsie Elmore attended church services at Marlbrook Sunday night to hear Bro. Neil Ridling preach.

Katie Pittman's birthday party Sunday was well attended. Approximately 40 people were there her daughters, all her grand-children and great grandchildren except three, her sisters and brother, several nieces, nephews and friends. Thanks for coming.

Joy Bennett and her daughter, Judy Garrett, of Arkadelphia visited Katie Pittman and daughters, Sue and Peggy, Sunday night.
