Boughton NewsMrs. Willie HooksPublished Wednesday, April 8, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune The clean up day at Piney Grove Cemetery was well attended, good fellowship, delicious dinner and the cemetery looks beautiful. We extend our sympathy to the relatives of Austin Juckett of Springhill, La. Austin was raised in our community and still has cousins around Prescott. Everett and Mary Orren spent a few days last week visiting with relatives. Durward Bernard of California met them in Napoleon, La., where they visited their Uncle Kirby Orren and his wife Rita and Durward's sisters, Julyn and Kerri. Everett, Mary, Durward, Kirby and Julyn went on to Mississippi to visit Durward and Elaine Orren. Durward was in the hospital with heart problems and a broken hip. Durward is 93 years old and known by lots of people around Prescott. If you would like to send him a card sent it to Durward Orren, 131 Dogwood Dr., Waveland, MS 39576. In route home Everett and Mary visited L.V. and Barbara Norris of West Monroe, La. L.V. is very ill. Tommy Elmore of Hamburg spent Friday night with his mother, Elsie Elmore. Friday afternoon Elsie and Tommy visited Aleene White of Arkadelphia. Willie and I enjoyed Neil and Hazel Meeks visiting with us a while Friday night. Our son, Willie Hugh, spent Monday night with us. The men folks caught a few fish on Boughton creek Monday afternoon. Charles and Bobby Doss of Springhill, La., Mary Perkins and Wanda Stevens visited Doris Ridgell Sunday afternoon. We extend our sympathy to the loved ones of Lillian Tackett. She died Sunday after a lengthy illness. Mildred Johnson is home from the hospital. Her son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Georgia, are staying a few weeks with her. Her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Carol, also spent the weekend. There were also other visitors. Hershel and Tommy Hooks visited their mother, Cathrine Hooks, Sunday, but they are also did some turkey hunting. Chloe Orren's grandson, Dale Orren, visited her during the week.
