Floyd McCorkle

Floyd McCorkle, 84, of Hope died Monday, April 6, 1998, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas.

Mr. McCorkle was born May 11, 1913, in Columbus to Ed and Lula Fincher McCorkle. He was a retired bridge crewman with Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department in Hope. He was a Baptist and an U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include one brother, Johnie McCorkle of Hope; one sister, Sally Chambless of Prescott; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are today, Wednesday, April 8, at 3:00 in Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Rev. Stan Parris officiating. Burial is to be in Columbus Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Fun-eral Home of Hope.
