Zula Walker Keith

Zula Walker Keith, 83, of Macedonia, died Tuesday, March 31, 1998, in Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

Mrs. Keith was born June 27, 1914, in Cale. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Newton and Lena (Godley) DeWoody, her first husband, Elmer Walker, and a brother, John Ves Godley. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and former member of First Baptist Church in Magnolia, formerly active in the Pilot Club and also a charter member and past secretary of the National Federation of Retired Employees.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel R. Keith of Macedonia; one daughter and son-in-law, Stella and Jimmy Edwards of Walkerville; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Mitzie Walker of Walkerville; one step daughter, Peggy Green of Little Rock; four stepsons, Lynn Keith, Jerry Keith and Jimmy Keith of Magnolia and Craig Keith of Minneapolis, Minn., one brother, Hugh DeWoody of Ardmore, Okla.; one sister, Stella Pittman of Prescott; two granddaughters, Whitney Hickey and Wendi Sanders of Macedonia; two grandsons, Mark Edwards of Little Rock and Eric Walker of Walkerville; six great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, April 2, at First Baptist Church in Magnolia with Bro. Jimmy Henry and Bro. Lash Frey officiating. Burial was in Stewart-Walkerville Cemetery near Walkerville under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home Magnolia.
