Kennedy Crowned In WacoPublished Wednesday, April 8, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneClaire Elizabeth Kennedy of Waco, Texas, will be presented as a Princess of the Waco Cotton Palace pageant Friday, April 24. Kennedy is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Read of Waco and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Kennedy of Colleyville, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Watson P. Buchanan of Prescott and Mrs. Clara Kennedy of Globe, Ariz., and the late Mr. Paul P. Kennedy. A senior at Midway High School in Waco, she has served as treasurer of the Student Council, sophomore class and junior class. She was a letterman in varsity tennis and is a member of Young Republicans and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Miss Kennedy is a member of Columbus Avenue Church of Waco. She was a Brazos Belle, a Symphony Belle and participated in the Central Texas Youth Summit for America's Future. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas.
