Registration Underway

Registration for children entering kindergarten for the 1998-99 school year will be held at Prescott Elementary School through April 3-17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Children must be five years old on or before September 15 to be eligible for kindergarten entry in the fall. The birthdate this year is different from years past.

Parents are asked to bring the child with you for registration as he or she will be given a short test for placement.

All children registering must have a birth certificate (a hospital birth certificate is not a legal birth certificate); social security card; a complete immunization record; and a comprehensive physical examina-tion. If your child has not had a physical exam within the past two years, you make an appointment for one at the time of registration.

Children will not be able to start school unless these records are on file.
