Delight Reunion Set

Alumni of Delight High School are planning an all-classes school reunion for Saturday, June 13, at the Delight school campus.

The all-day event is being held in conjunction with the Delight Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Park Day.

Registration at the gymnasium will begin at 8 a.m. After a short assembly program, visiting and scheduled activities will take place throughout the day.

The reunion is for all former students of Delight Schools, not just graduates. At this time, approximately 2,500 former students have been identified, but the reunion committee needs help from others in identifying and notifying many others.

If you attended Delight Public Schools at anytime and have not received a notification, or know of a former student who has not received one, contact H. Easley at 379-2697 or Von Gordon at 887-5118.

Response has been enthusiastic from former students living all over the United States. Many who have not returned to Pike County for 30 to 40 years are planning to attend. If you have received a notification and have not returned the 'request for info,' you are asked to do so whether you plan to attend or not.

The committee is trying to create a database so that former friends can contact each other.
