RedlandHazel MeeksPublished Wednesday, April 15, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Well, Peter Cotton Tail has come and gone and I hope all of you had a happy one. Trena DeYoung from Harlington, Texas, has been visiting her son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Mary DeYoung, and their daughter, Eileen Cole, and family. Those visiting Pershing and Mary Cox over the holiday weekend were their daughter, Cathy, and Beau Straley from Dallas, Texas, a son, Mike, Connie and family from Camden, a daughter, Ann, and Dole Wylie from Hope. Those enjoying Easter with Jackie and Frances Bidwell were Nell and Howard McDaniel from Monroe, La., and Jack, Ruby and Shawn Bidwell on Friday night. They treated Jack and Ruby with a steak dinner as they will soon be moving to Colorado. Our grandson, Casey Meeks, and a friend, Lauren McNeil, from Old Miss and Randy, Charity and Caleb Lowdermilk visited us on Sunday. Congratulations to Caley Pennington for winning third place in a Wal-Mart coloring contest. George and Joy Cox had visiting them on Easter Sunday, Gary, Gaywyn, Gigi and Grant Golden, Danny, Lisa, Kyle and Caley Pennington and a sister, Louise Willis, and Jamie Thornton from Hope. Jerry, Rhonda, Justin and Cole Hillery hosted their annual Easter get together and egg hunt. Those attending were Kim, Terri, Kristie, Chanda and their families, her mother, Billie Ridling, grand- mother, Willie McClain, from Hill-crest Care Center, a brother, Johnny Ridling, from Hot Springs, and Jerry's sister, Barbara, and her family from Benton. In the afternoon Sonja and Morgan Ridling from Hope and Cherrie and Katy Wilson came for the egg hunt. Stan Koger was also there for lunch. Dale and Roberta Crellin from Louisiana spent Easter with their son, Clark, and Myla, Garret and Darby. Faye Zumwalt spent Sunday attending church in Texarkana and visiting with her two sisters- in-law, Louise Hooker and Leola Willard. Dan and Sarah Yowell visited George and Joy Cox last Wednesday. A great big thank you is in order to our pastor, Bro. Mike Taylor, at Shady Grove for the well planned and organized sunrise service on Sunday.
