Viola Marie RussellPublished Wednesday, April 15, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneViola Marie Russell, 81, of Hope died Wednesday, April 1, 1998, at Columbia Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Mrs. Russell was born February 26, 1917, in Bienville, La., to Luther and Olga Chandler Casey. She was a homemaker and a member of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berlin Russell, who died in 1974 and by one grandson, Russell Skinner. Survivors include three sons, Charles Russell, David Russell and Thomas Russell all of Hope; three daughters, Melba Skinner and Linda Crane both of Hope and Reba Morehead of Bodcaw, 14 grand children and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, April 10, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Fun-eral Chapel in Hope with Rev. Jim Sayers and Dr. Mike Harmon officiating.
