Prescott's week on the road ended at Nashville as the Wolves had a date with the Scrappers.

When the dust settled, the Scrappers were left in a scrap heap and suffered a resounding loss, 14-3, at the hands of Prescott's bats.

Al Formby earned his seventh win of the year, going the distance. He gave up six hits, three runs, walked none and fanned nine of the 25 batters he faced.

The Wolves drew first blood in the top of the first.

Jones went down on strikes before Collins and Ingram singled. Johnston walked to load the bases and Yates singled, bringing Collins in.

Jernigan was fanned and Formby hit into a fielder's choice to end the threat.

It was three up and three down for the Scrappers in the bottom as Formby gave up nothing.

Prescott added three more in the top of the second, beginning with Hammrick walking. Harris flied out, but Jones doubled. Collins walked to load the bases and when Ingram hit into a fielder's choice, Hammrick scored.

A wild pitch from the catcher to second allowed Jones to score, as Ingram wound up stealing second. Johnston followed with a walk and Ingram scored on a wild pitch when Johnston stole second and the throw from the catcher went awry.

A home run by Reeves was Nashville's only offense in the bottom of the second.

Both offenses were quiet in the third as neither team scored, or even threatened.

The fourth, though, was a different story as the Wolves sent six around the base paths.

Jones flied out to get the inning off on the wrong foot, but Collins and Ingram singled. Johnston doubled Collins in, while a one-bagger by Yates brought Ingram and Johnston home.

Jernigan singled and Formby walked to load the bases, ahead of a strikeout by Hammrick. Harris got an easy RBI as he walked to bring Yates across.

Jones finished the scoring with a two-RBI single to bring Jernigan and Formby back into the fold.

Crow again praised Formby's pitching efforts, as the six hits Nashville recorded came in two innings. He pitched four innings of no-hit ball.

Other highlights in the game were Jones going two for five at the plate with a double, scoring a run and driving two in.

Collins was two for three, scoring three runs. Ingram went two for five, circling the bases twice. Johnston was a perfect two for two with a double and three runs scored. Yates went two for three, scoring twice and driving three in. Jernigan was two for five, and Formby had two RBIs.

In the JV game, the Wolves fell 1-0 to the Scrappers in the three inning game.

Overton, Brock Jordan and Brad Harris all singled in the game.

Ottis Harris, Jones and Yates all saw action on the hill.
