'Bunnicula' Performances SetPublished Wednesday, October 20, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneBeware of the vampire is hare! Just in time for Halloween, The Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre presents an adaptation of Bunnicula,' the popular children's serial, October 22-November 7 at the Arts Center, Ninth and Commerce in MacArthur Park in Little Rock. Bunnicula' is told from the point of view of the family dog and cat, Harold and Chester, respectively. It all starts when the Monroe family goes to see the movie Dracula and young Toby accidentally sits on a baby rabbit wrapped in a bundle on his seat. How could the family help but take the rabbit home and name it Bunnicula? However, with pointy fangs, nocturnal habits and vegetables that have been sucked dry and colorless, Chester soon decides that something is not quite right about this bunny. Any child who has ever let his or her imagination run a little wild will love this funny, fast-paced rabbit-tale of mystery. Performance times are 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $7 per person. Arts Center members receive a discount. Season subscriptions are available.
