Coon, Karber Set To Wed May 29thPublished Wednesday, April 22, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesMrs. Jackie Joel Coon of Arkadelphia is pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Amanda Kay, to Jimmy Allen Karber Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Allen Karber of Gum Springs. The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Mr. Jackie Joel Coon. Grandparent of the bride-elect are Mrs. Edward W. Buck of Arkadelphia, the late Mr. Buck, Mr. and Mrs. Conway Coon also of Arkadelphia, and the late Effie Coon. The bride-elect is a 1990 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and a 1994 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University. She is an employee of First State Bank of Gurdon. Grandparents of the prospective groom are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne V. 'Hap' Roberson of Arkadelphia, Mrs. Mark Karber of Alpine, and the late Mr. Karber. The prospective groom is a 1988 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and a 1992 graduate of Henderson State University. He is an employee of Siplast, Inc. The wedding will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 29, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 2322 Walnut Street, Arkadelphia. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
