Annual youth day will be held Sunday, April 26, at 3:00 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Malvern. Everyone is invited to attend. Special guests will be New Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon with Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker. Rev. Frank Newborn, pastor.

Pastor's aid program will be Sunday, May 3, at 2:30 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church of Bluff City. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guests will be new Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker; Sis. Burna Dean Purifoy, sponsor; Rev. Parham, pastor.

Funeral services for the Mary Jane Welch Marshall was held Saturday, April 18, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Benton. She was formerly from Okolona and was the daughter of the late Floyd and Laura Welch, and the wife of the late Exie Marshall.

Out-of-town relatives who attend-ed the Marshal funeral were Valree Smith of Chicago, Fred and Geneva Shells of Little Rock, Laura Grigsby of Okolona, Francis Evans and daughters of Arkadelphia, Jerine Hatley, Marsha F. Hatley, Eula Quarles, Lois Williams and daughters Hazle Welch, Danny Hart, Melvin Hatley, Brad Hatley, Winfred and Margreat Burton, Rev. Rufus Hatley, Little Winfred Burton, Frederick Hatley all of Gurdon, Christine Heard and daughter of Prescott and other relatives of the surrounding area.

Lewis Porter of Tennessee is here visiting his Aunt Voria Graham and his sister, Martina Porter, as well as Jerine Hatley and other friends and relatives in the area.

Jo Ann Bell of Los Angeles, Calif., is here visiting her sister, Mary Bell McKinney, her niece Dianne and her family, her Uncle Henry Bell, Aunt Christine Hatley and her family, Henry Bell Jr., Marva Williams and her family, a sister, Margrie Gatlin, and other family and friends in the area.

Mrs. Wanda Jean Berry Hopson is here visiting her parents, Frank and Annie Bell Berry, and other family members in Gurdon and Malvern.
