Ordination services will be held Sunday, September 5, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Clair Baptist Church in Burtsell for Rev. Dennis Ware. Deacons and ministers are all urged to attend. Rev. L.B. Beard, pastor.

The officers and members of Arkansas City will be celebrating their pastor and his wife, Rev. and Sis. Jessie Radford, pastor's anniversary Sunday, September 12, at 3:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Special guest New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker.

The 85th session of the Southwest District Singing Convention to convene with the Macedonia Baptist Church at Boughton September 17 and 18. The theme is Upholding Standards of Church Music for the 21st Century. Dr. Kenneth G. Harris Jr., president. Sis. Delores Hodge, president of Southwest District WMU. Dr. C.K. Yarber, moderator. Rev. Musician appreciation day will be celebrated Sunday, Sept. 19, at the 11:00 a.m. worship at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Gurdon. We invite you to attend. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Bennie and Ruthie Welch and granddaughter of Osceola, his sister Helen Burton of Chicago, Ill., Raymond and Myrtle Welch of Rockford, Ill., Laura and friend of Los Angeles, Calif., Frances Evans and family of Oklahoma, Fred and Geneva Shells, Rev. Charles Gatlin, Bobby R. Collins of Little Rock, Rev. Kendall Marshall, Lindell Horner, Quin Marshall, Kim, Shun, Mary V. Fredia and Junior Connie L, all of Benton, Hurbert and Lillian Beard and son of Malvern, Rose Crow, Robert Williams, Emma Graham, Ruby Allen of Curtis, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Stafford, Frances Stafford of Greenville, Mrs. Mae Cook of Gurdon and other relatives of Gurdon, Arkadelphia, Prescott, Oklahoma, Hot Springs and other surrounding areas.

Rev. Ron Browning, pastor of Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Arkadelphia, passed away. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this report.

'The Gospel Four' of Bluff City will be celebrating their first anniversary Friday, Saturday and Sunday at St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City, 7:30 nightly. Marsha Lee Purifoy is manager. Rev. Fred Williams, pastor.
