Clyde 'Buck' McKinney's funeral was held Friday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Willisville. Rev. J.W. McGraw pastor with Rev. George Smith officiating. Out-of-town relatives attend-ing the funeral were from Dallas, Texas, Oklahoma City, Okla., Little Rock, Camden, Waldo, Milwaukee, Wis. Let's pray for the McKinney family over the loss of their loved one.

Bessie Dansby went to California to visit her children and she passed away. Her funeral will be Thursday at 1 o'clock at Cana AME Church, where Rev. L. Banks is the pastor.

Margie Dansby had an accident in the curve in Rosston Friday. There have been so many wrecks in Rosston lately. They need to do something. You can't see around that curve.

Our second quarter will be Sunday at New Bethel AME Church in Rosston.

Presiding elder Rev. Thomas Adair was reported to me they had a good turn out at the district conference at White's Chapel AME Church last week. I did not get to attend. I am having foot trouble.

The Oak Grove District Civic League will sponsor a political rally and benefit dinner on Saturday, May 2, at 7 p.m. The rally and dinner will be held at the Oak Grove Day Care Center in Rosston (Oak Grove Community). There will be a platform for all candidates who wish to speak (5- minute limit). Proceeds from the dinner will go toward purchasing playground equipment for the day care and constructing a fence around the playground. Dinners are $10 a plate.
