Prescott's sophomore basketball sensation Andrea Cossey has added another honor to the growing list.

She has been named to the state's All Sophomore team.

Cossey, playing with the Wolverettes for the first time this season, averaged 15.5 points per game and nailed a whopping 115 three-point shots. Overall, she scored 496 points on the season as the Wolverettes went into the third round of the state tournament.

Currently, she is playing softball at PHS and AAU basketball.

She said it was an honor to be selected for the All Sophomore team.

Her father, Bill Cossey, coach of the Wolverettes, said this area doesn't get much recognition from the Little Rock media and a lot of good players didn't make the team.

However, he said he, too, was honored his daughter was selected for the All Sophomore team, but added basketball is a team sport.

"We're more team oriented," he said, "and not big on individual honors. Those come because of team play."

Cossey, Traci Graham and Stacy Stockton were also named to the All Area team as well.
