DEER CAMP BURNEDPublished Wednesday, April 22, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneA 24-year-old Prescott man is being held in connection with the burning of a deer camp on Nubbin Hill Road. According to the Nevada County Sheriff's Office, the camp belonged to John Van Sickle and was burned Friday, April 4. Kenny Martin was arrested and is expected to be charged with arson in the case. According to reports, the camp, constructed primarily of cinder block, suffered extensive smoke damage, with the interior being burned the worst.
