Ballot Positions Are Drawn; Early Voting Set To Begin May 5

Early voting for the May 19, 1998, preferential party primary will begin two weeks prior to this date.

As of Monday, May 4, voters who will be out of pocket on May 19 can cast their ballots early at the education office in the Nevada County Courthouse. Early voting will end May 18.

The county's only official political rally will be held Friday, May 8, at the courthouse.

Ballot positions were drawn Tuesday, April 7, at the courthouse.

Locally, the candidates will stack up like this on the ballot:
