Juanita HawkinsPublished Wednesday, April 29, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneJuanita Hawkins, 74, of Prescott died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at Hillcrest Care Center. Mrs. Hawkins was born May 26, 1923, in Ivan, La., to Jim and Cora House Blackard. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hawkins, by one son, Leroy Jones and by one brother, Pat Blackbard. Survivors include two sons James L. Jones of Texarkana, Ark., and Paul Raymond Jones of Mississippi; two daughters, Brenda Nielson and Connie Phillips both of Shreveport, La.; one brother Jimmy Blackard of Prescott; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Graveside services were Friday, April 24, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Prescott with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating.
