Rally Set At Oak Grove

Joseph Hale, educator and former Nevada County Training School student, will speak at the Oak Grove Day Care benefit dinner and political rally Saturday, May 2, at the center near Rosston. The dinner will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person.

There will be a platform for all candidates present to speak.

A questionnaire will be distributed to each candidate during the rally for completion and returned to the Civic League within five working days.

All proceeds from the benefit will go toward purchasing playground equipment and installing a fence around the playground at the center.

Donations are accepted. To make a donation or for more information, call 870-871-2015 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. or 870-871-2316 after 5:30 p.m.

The Oak Grove District Civic League plans to use the political rally as a first step in getting rural communities involved in the political process that affects their communities directly or indirectly. All communities contacted are urged to attend.
