Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, April 29, 1998 in the Gurdon Times DORIS VANCE Hope everyone has been enjoying the beautiful weather we have been having. The month of April is fast drawing to a close. The Gurdon Senior Adult Center will have its monthly council meeting this week, as well as the April birthday party. The quilting ladies are about to finish the quilt they have been working on. The Arkadelphia Senior Adult Center had its senior prom Friday evening, April 24, and the Gurdon Center hosted the dance on Saturday night, April 25. Site supervisor Naomi Brown has been on vacation for a week. We will be glad to see her back on Monday. The center has a trip planed Monday, April 27. There is always something you can do at the senior adult center. Several days last week the center served lunch to approximately 80 people. The cooks have been preparing delicious meals.
