Sandra Rodgers Is Set to Receive AwardPublished Wednesday, May 6, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneState Rep. Sandra Rodgers of Hope has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Arkansas State Police Association in recognition of her work during the last regular session of the General Assembly. Presenting the award to Rodgers at the State Capitol in Little Rock were Richard Lawrence, legal advisor to the State Police Association, and Bobby Glover, State Police Association director of legislative and governmental affairs. The award recognized Rodgers for her "outstanding dedication and leadership" in behalf of the State Police Association during the regular session of the 81st General Assembly in 1997. Rodgers is serving her first term, representing portions of Hempstead and Nevada Counties in the Arkansas General Assembly. She is a member of the House Judiciary Committee, the house Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Committee and the Joint Committee on Public Retirement and Social Security Programs.
