Al and Peggy Butrick and a friend, Ronnie Whittington, from Summit, Miss., spent several days with Billie Ridling.

Jim Swift from Waco, Texas, recently visited his mother-in-law, Willie McClain, at Hillcrest Care Center and Ronnie and Terri Vandiver.

Neil and I attended the funeral for our sister-in-law, Elizabeth Meeks, in Longview, Texas, on Wednesday. Burial was in Chidester Cemetery.

Bill Ridling Jr. is spending several days with friends and family here.

Edmond and Karen Parks and daughter Bobbie from Blevins visited in our community on Sunday.

I think this is a first for my news, so her goes. Kermit and Audry Nix just returned from a trip. Don't know where they went, what they did or who they visited. They tell me they're getting ready to go again.

Betty, Roy and Nuggy Cagle visited Neil and me on Sunday. Also Randy, Charity and Caleb Lowdermilk visited us great grand-parents.

Frances Rinkle Thomas from Royal Oak, Mass., is here visiting friends and relatives. She spent Friday with Pershing and Mary Cox.

The Extension home makers club spent Friday in Camden touring the Chidester house, eating out and seeing other interesting places.

Joy Cox and Margaret McBrayer spent Monday in Camden picking up their sister, Louise Willis, who has spent several days with her daughter, Susie Steelman, and her family.

Kyle Pennington celebrated his 10th birthday with a baseball party and three of his friends. Garret Crellin, Trent Cox and Justin Barlow spent the night.

Caley Pennington spent Friday night with Darby Crellin.

Larry, Dana, Zack and Zayne Otwell hosted a birthday party for Zoie Elizabeth on her second birthday, Saturday, May 2, at their house. Those attending to help Zoie Beth celebrate were Kelly and Jessica Honea, Kim and Shelbi Cottingham, Mandy Brian Harris, Lorrie and Forrest Strickland, Haley Harris, Angie and Kelsey Wren, Tyler and Brook Adkins, James Dale Ledbetter and Zoie's grandparents from Hope, mamaw Pauline and Glen.
