BodcawAline ClausPublished Wednesday, October 20, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune Happy birthday to Bobbie Jean Poindexter, Daniel and Josh Clements, Chris Butler, Bryan Townsend and Judy Baker. It will soon be time for ghosts and goblins to stir. The youth at our church had two hay rides, one for little ones and then for the grownups. I think they had some spooks out. There were lots of treats to enjoy. John Henry Carlton, Vickie, Marilyn and Russ went to Bingen for a homecoming. Johnny was a former pastor and Russ sang. Bro. George Reddin had the message. He was born in that area. The Dorman's had their family get together the second Saturday in October. It was at our church fellowship hall and they had a lot in attendance. On Wednesday a group went with Francis Tours out of Arkadelphia to Branson to see The City Lights and on the Carthage to see Precious Moments, Bass Pro Shop, and Fountains of Angels. and back to Branson to see The Promise. It was all great. Those attending from this area were June Stevens, Ruby Vines, Morine Butler, Mary Joe Gregory, Earlene and Phyllis Butler, Ruby Wicker and me. Several have been on the sick list, Marguerite Dorman, Bobby Poindexter and others. There is deer hunting now with bow and arrow and muzzle loader. Chad Butler from Cabot was here to hunt. He killed one. Todd Butler Chris Walton were also here. I am sure there were others. Jimmy Joe Butler went on an elk hunt to Colorado and suffered a heart attack. They are to do heart surgery in Denver the first of the week. Some of the family have gone to be with him. Remember him and all of our sick. Joe and Marie Tye went to Oklahoma to visit some of their family. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
