Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, May 13, 1998 in the Gurdon Times Hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day. Last week was a busy week at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center. We played bingo, had a health film and on Thursday wellness screening was performed, and on Friday we had spring cleaning. The dates of May 10 through May 15 has been proclaimed National Seniors Week. We had our regular monthly board meeting Tuesday, May 12. Open house at the center will be May 15. Refreshments will be served all day. Tuesday, May 19, will be dine out night for the seniors and the May election primary will be on Tuesday at the center. A trip is planned for Friday, May 15, to the Senior Fun and Fitness Fair at Hot Springs. The center will be closed May 25. The center is a United Way Agency.
