Hatley Picked To Play With Belgian Basketball TeamPublished Wednesday, May 20, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesEric Hatley has been chosen to represent the United States as a member of the Arkansas All-Stars Belgium basketball tour. Hatley was been invited by the Belgium Basketball Federation to compete in the European Community Tournament held in Antwerp, Belgium. This special competition is for boys and girls ages 14-18 and involves high school-age teams throughout that country. They will be given the opportunity to compete internationally, interact with foreign athletes the same age and tour the historical attractions of the host country. In order to participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity he needs sponsorship from individuals and businesses to help alleviate the financial cost.
